The class had a literary reading lesson, during which the children talked about their home library.
I wanted the children's story to be illustrated with a photograph, so I asked the children to send me a photo of their library on WhatsApp in a personal chat, and I collected their photos myself in a regular PowerPoint presentation and uploaded it to Calameo(the site allows you to beautifully demonstrate slides - in the form of turning pages and then insert the finished presentation into a blog).
The next day everything was ready, and we could not only listen, but also watch.
The children happily talked about their home library, listing their favorite authors and favorite books.
Of course, we evaluated the performances of others. The story had to have a beginning and an end, the sentences were logically connected to each other, the names of the authors had to be heard, it lasted from
one to two minutes.
We heard about how a library appeared in the family, how it grew, who started collecting it.. I was pleased to hear a link to the project “It’s not harmful to read - it’s harmful not to read,” thanks to which, as Denis said, his the library is replenished, and the rules for handling books, and about books donated by relatives, and most importantly, for many children a book has ceased to be just a BOOK, some kind of abstract concept... It has become close and even dear to some.
